🇫🇷・ Kanji.

Ces caractères chinois qu'on retrouve dans la langue japonaise,

que je révisais quotidiennement dans le cadre de mes études.

J'ai toujours imaginé pouvoir un jour les illustrer.

Mais devant la multitude de kanji existants,

et avec mon côté perfectionniste qui veut organiser de façon thématique et dans un ordre logique,

je me retrouve à procrastiner...

jusqu'au moment où j'aurais trouvé la bonne recette !

Ce moment n'est pas arrivé.

Mais l'occasion s'est présentée pour : COMMENCER, SE LANCER !

Je soumets mon idée de visuel sur une thématique pour une publication...

l'offre est séduisante, les candidatures nombreuses.

Mon projet n'aura pas cette fois ce canal de visibilité...

Ce qui ne m'empêchera pas de lui donner vie et d'aller au bout de mon idée !

Voici comment j'ai concocté ma recette :

- une thématique donnée

- une expression idiomatique en japonais (parce que j'aime beaucoup)

- une interprétation en croquis à ma sauce

- avec une base d'INSPIRATION (voir à la suite) pour décider du ton du rendu !

- préchauffer avec des vidéos de l'avancée des dessins

- et enfourner pour + DE 35 HEURES de montage et de préparation d'éléments ludiques pour la vidéo finale !

🇯🇵・日本語を勉強しはじめてから学生時代まで、ずっと思っていたのは

「わー、漢字って不思議で面白い！文化に沿うイメージから文字を作ること。

想像力が爆発しそうくらい、自分なりのイラストにしてみたいー！いつか。」

でも、その日は来なかった。

なぜなら、完璧主義の私が邪魔をしていたのだ。

「テーマも順番的にも、論理的じゃなきゃダメ！」

「奇跡のレシピ」というか「やり方」というか、見つかるまでに先延ばし日々が続いていた...

が、とある日、「始める」、「取り掛ける」を

思わせた機会が訪れた！

応募者が多くの魅力的な出版企画に応募した。

今回はやりたい事が叶わなかった。

それでも、やると決めた！

その「レシピ」、「やり方」が単純なものだ

-　決められたテーマ

- 四字熟語 (日本語が好きだから)

- 自分なり解釈のクロッキー

- 追加で、ある画家(について以下で話す)の下地の塗り方をお手本にして絵のベースがお決まり！

- 撮影したものを余熱して

- 35時間以上飾りのイラストの支度と動画編集をオーブンに入れば完成！

🇬🇧・ Since I began studying kanji,

chinese caracters used in japanese language,

I've always wanted to draw most of them.

But it felt like a never-ending task...

Where sould I start from ?

A part of me, the perfectionist one, would say

'I need to group the kanji by theme,

but first of all, I need to think about

a specific and very logical order to proceed with

before even starting...'

Needless to say that with this way of thinking,

I never actually started doing anything...

BUT, the occasion finally came : TO ACTUALLY START!

I applied to this very attrative opportunity, as many artists did...

Unfortunately, my project wasn't accepted this time ~

But still, I've decided that I would do it anyway.

And here is my recipe to complete my project :

- a well-defined theme

- a four-character idiomatic compounds in japanese (because I like this language)

- my interpretation of it into a drawing

- an illustration basis inspired by the way of painting of an artist (whom I will talk about below)!

- preheat video rushes of the work in progress

- and put them in the oven for MORE THAN 35 HOURS of editing and drawing for the final touch!

🇫🇷・ La façon de peindre une base, de Naohisa INOUE.

Utilisée pour ses oeuvres "Iblard".

Le principe est de se mettre en condition de peindre sans trop de "stress, tensions".

Avec une couleur, ou par supperposition de plusieurs couleurs.

Et s'arrêter de peindre la base, quand on pense tenir quelque chose.

🇯🇵・井上直久さんの「イバラード」の下地の描き方。

「あまり緊張せずに描けるような状態」にする。

一色か何色を重ねること。

「作品だな」と思ったら、やめてスキャンしたりしても続けても大丈夫である。

🇬🇧・ Naohisa INOUE's way of painting the base of a painting (cf. Iblard)

The concept is about creating a stress-free situation for painting.

Using one colour or an accumulation of multiple colours.

Stopping the base painting once you think you are onto something.
